How long must I pray, must I pray to You?
How long must I wait, must I wait for You?
How long 'til I see Your face, see You shining through?
I'm on my knees, begging You to notice me.
I'm on my knees, Father will You turn to me?

Something Beautiful by Newsboys
I wanna start it over
I wanna start again
I wanna a new beginning
One without an end
I feel it inside
Calling out to me
It's a voice that whispers my name
It's a kiss without any shame
Something Beautiful YEAH YEAH
Like a song that stirs in my head
Singing love will take us where
Something's beautiful
I’ve heard it in the silence
Seen it on a face
I’ve felt it in a long hour
Like a sweet embrace
I know this is true
It's calling out to me
It's a voice that whispers my name
It's a kiss without any shame
Something Beautiful YEAH YEAH
Like a song that stirs in my head
Singing love will take us where
Something's beautiful
It’s the child on her wedding day
It's the daddy who gives her away
Something Beautiful
When we laugh so hard we cry
All the love between you and I
Something Beautiful
Something Beautiful

Comforting Words from a Friend
There is nothing like a friend to help you get through the toughest times of your life and to be what I call "Jesus with skin on" when you need Him the most.
Over my lifetime there have been friends who have come and gone but each in their own way has made a significant impact on my life. Each has contributed something to my life at just the time I needed it most.

Savior Please by Josh Wilson
Savior, please take my hand
I work so hard, I live so fast
This life begins, and then it ends
And I do the best that I can, but I don't know how long I'll last
I work so hard, I live so fast
This life begins, and then it ends
And I do the best that I can, but I don't know how long I'll last

Show them God by Mandy Teer
Mandy is a friend of mine who was a part of my son Andy's youth group. She is a very remarkable, Godly, young woman and I very proudly share her thoughts here with her permission.
"God has placed something on my heart, that I feel I must share...Over the past few days I've had some rough and emotional days.

On My Way Home
Driving home from work today the cloud patterns and colors I saw just blew me away. I was reminded of something I heard at church about God revealing himself to us in nature. Many times we say we can see God in creation, but the truth is that the world we live in today is corrupt and has drastically changed from the world that God originally created. All creation is in the process of dying and decaying as a result of sin's entrance into this world. I thought to myself, if this is what the world looks like to us now, imagine what it looked like in the beginning as God spoke it all into existence. And then imagine what God must look like. We can't even begin to fathom the majesty of God and his creative power. Just think about it .... Indescribable!

Never Saw You Coming by Bebo Norman
I am the lonely
The ones who slip away
I am the secret
The words we dare not say
I am the promise I'm about to break...again

I am the secret
The words we dare not say
I am the promise I'm about to break...again

An Afternoon Visit
I ran across this post yesterday on a facebook group that I am a member of called His Help Meet. Valerie Basham is a pastor's wife and has a website called The Bishop's Wife. She is the author of the following article which she posted on her blog on October 21,2009. I have found that loneliness is a feeling that most pastor's wives struggle to deal with and could relate to.

One Life to Love by 33 Miles
He never thought he cared so much about the minute hand,
Until he started playing for a second chance,
If he could only do it all again,
He'd trade the long nights that he spent behind his desk,
For all he missed,
He tells his wife,
I wish that this moment in this room, was not me dying,
But just spending a little time with you
Until he started playing for a second chance,
If he could only do it all again,
He'd trade the long nights that he spent behind his desk,
For all he missed,
He tells his wife,
I wish that this moment in this room, was not me dying,
But just spending a little time with you
Reason, Season, Lifetime Friends
I received this in an email today, but a very special friend shared it with me a long time ago and I have found it to be true. It's one of my favorites although I don't know where it came from ......
People come into your life for a reason, a season, or a lifetime. When you know which one it is, you will know what to do for that person.

Something Inside by Jonathan Rhys Meyers
When the one thing you're looking for
Is nowhere to be found
And you back stepping all of your moves
Trying to figure it out
You wanna reach out
You wanna give in
Your head's wrapped around what's around the next bend
You wish you could find something warm'
Cause you're shivering cold
Is nowhere to be found
And you back stepping all of your moves
Trying to figure it out
You wanna reach out
You wanna give in
Your head's wrapped around what's around the next bend
You wish you could find something warm'
Cause you're shivering cold

Forgiveness
http://livingproofministries.blogspot.com/
I wanted to share this touching story entitled "Innocence" that I read today from the blog by Beth Moore's daughter Amanda on the subject of forgiveness. I find myself frequently needing to ask for forgiveness and I am so glad that I serve a God who is rich in mercy and grace and ready to forgive when I ask Him. God is still teaching me much about this subject. Not only the fact that I am in need of forgiveness but need to practice forgiving others.

This is Home by Switchfoot
I've got my memories
Always
Inside of me
But I can't go back
Back to how it was
I believe you now
I've come too far
No I can't go back
Back to how it was
Created for a place
I've never known
Chorus:
This is home
Now I'm finally
Where I belong
Where I belong
Yeah, this is home
I've been searching
For a place of my own
Now I've found it
Maybe this is home
Yeah, this is home
Belief over misery
I've seen the enemy
And I won't go back
Back to how it was
And I got my heart
Set on
What happens next
I got my eyes wide
It's not over yet
We are miracles
And we're not alone
(Chorus)
And now after all
My searching
After all my questions
I'm gonna call it home
I got a brand new mindset
I can finally see
The sunset
I'm gonna call it home
(Chorus)
Now I know
Yeah, this is home
I've come too far
And I won't go back
Yeah, this is home
For Your Glory by DecembeRadio
Lord here's my offering
You are the one that takes what I bring
And some how uses it
For Your glory, for Your glory
It don't add up
But some how it's enough
to lift You up and let the world see
that it's You, its You
the Maker of all
Lord I believe
That its You that lives in me
Faithful I will be
And I do everything
For Your glory, for Your glory
Your love is a message that can't be erased
The cross is a story of mercy and grace
Still brings us together today
For Your glory, for Your glory
Broke and humble
We fall at Your feet
Lifting our hands together we sing
to You, to You
The Maker of all
The King of all Kings
It's You that lives in me
Faithful I will be
And I do everything
For Your glory, for Your glory
Oh Your glory
It's You that lives in me
Faithful I will be
And I do everything
For Your glory, for Your glory
It's You that lives in me
Faithful I will be
And I do everything
For Your glory, for Your glory
It's You that lives in me
Faithful I will be
And I do everything
For Your glory, for Your glory
For Your glory, for Your glory
And I do everything
For Your glory, for Your glory

Celebrating the New Year
God reminded me of this verse from Isaiah 43 this past week.
“Fear not, for I have redeemed you;
I have summoned you by name; you are mine.
When you pass through the waters,
I will be with you;
and when you pass through the rivers,
they will not sweep over you.
When you walk through the fire,
you will not be burned;
the flames will not set you ablaze."
